The concept for the h2gogo technology was developed during research into diesel powered endurance racing cars. The research was examining how increased power and improved fuel economy could be gained to reduce pit stops and therefore provide a competitive advantage (i.e. through having less stops) over the competition, giving a better track position.
The result of this research is the h2gogo Hydrogen Generator. The unit can be bolted (floor mounted or suspended) to all diesel and petrol vehicles, plant machinery and industrial generators. It works by injecting a small amount of hydrogen, on demand, into the fuel chain. It has been proven to deliver significant benefits in reduced emissions, engine efficiency, power output and the potential for improved fuel economy.
The h2gogo hydrogen unit has been subject to rigorous testing throughout its development and production. This has included independent tests at the world-renowned Millbrook Vehicle Emissions Laboratory, as well as comprehensive and sustained live vehicle trials on fleets operated by some the UK's largest Blue Chip companies including Heathrow Airport and Grundon Waste Management.
Together with our manufacturing and logistics partner, Smith's (Harlow) Limited, our approach to development and performance verification has been rigorous. The HRN3 unit is machined and assembled to aerospace standards under a BS9100 Quality System approved by BSI. Major mechanical components are purchased from fully traceable sources in line with all the other aerospace work undertaken by our manufacturer, Smith's. Applying aerospace standards is built into the culture of Smith's and components are produced to these exacting levels.
Our electronics manufacturers are approved to BS9001, which is the quality approval for non-aerospace companies.
As part of this on-going programme we are 'field' testing HRN3 units in the vehicle fleets of some of the UK's leading companies, as well as police and military applications for both trucks and boats.
All h2gogo units are tested by independent third party equipment supplied by Boston Garage Equipment Ltd. Its gas analysers are the UK standard for MOT emissions testing and are used by over 4000 garage and MOT centres across the country.
